CRM EmailToCase Automation v5.6.2015.0001 – Released 01-Feb-2016 (Works with: 2015,2016)

Enhancements:
  • Case Re-open email notification
  • Performance improvement in execution of funtionality: Linking of email received regarding existinig case and having case number in email subject to the case. Please note that this feature will work only with out-of-box Case ID field.

Bug Fixes:
  •  Incorrect linking of newly created case to customer
    Issue: Case not getting linked to the correct Customer for newly created cases using IOTAP Email2Case add-on. This started happening after applying CRM 2015 service update 2.
    MSFT api does not seem to be returning back the correct email address of the “To” as well as “FROM” recipient of the email received in CRM.
    Expected recipient is: abc@gmail.com (this is how it used to come until the last rollup)
    however now the email recipient is coming as :"abc@gmail.com" abc@gmail.com
    This issue is now fixed.

CRM EmailToCase Automation v3.0.2015.0001 – Released 20-Feb-2015 (Works with: 2015)

Enhancements:

  • Attachment size options – ability to filter out attachments from getting copied to the case based on the attachment size.
  • Licensing modified
  • Changes in base code to meet coding standards, hence direct upgrade from earlier version not possible.

Bug Fixes:

  • Suppose there are multiple recipients which have queue configured in CRM…however email2case configuration does not exist for the first recipient in the email (that has a queue but not email2case setting) then email2case program aborts… and case is not created.

 

Outstanding / known issues: Cases created by Email2Case add-on are not getting linked to the correct Customer record.

Issue details: The latest rollup (CRM 2015 Service Update 2 or higher) from Microsoft has modified the api’s which has resulted in this issue.

Resolution :

This issue will require a newer build.

We are currently working on releasing a newer version which will have a fix for this issue. 

Please note the next version is going to be a major release as it has lot many enhancements too which we have been working on.
